IdentiPHI's enterprise biometric authentication kit available to resellers Print E-mail

IdentiPHI SAFauthenticator Software Development Kit (SDK) for SAFsolution 5 Enterprise allows systems integrators, resellers and ISVs to quickly and easily add strong authentication to enterprise applications. The SAFauthenticator SDK for SAFsolution 5 Enterprise Edition provides software developers the tools to easily add native biometric authentication to their commercial off-the-shelf and custom applications.

The SDK is designed for partners to rapidly add a strong biometric authentication solution, SAFsolution 5, to their own applications. As a result, customers are in a position to simultaneously strengthen user authentication for network logon and virtually any enterprise application.

“The SAFauthenticator SDK provides a simplified platform for systems integrators, application providers, partners and customers to incorporate native biometric authentication into their critical applications,” said IdentiPHI CEO Christer Bergman. “The new SDK release enables us to broaden the scope of our current SAFsolution offering to support new applications, and create opportunities with large enterprise business software providers and customers seeking to replace passwords."

SAFsolution 5 enables organizations to dramatically improve security for critical business assets and applications through the use of advanced authentication to replace passwords, including the deployment of biometric technology (fingerprint, facial, iris and others) and smart cards. SAFsolution 5 offers broad device support for enterprise platforms and incorporates the latest security standards such as Suite B Cryptography.

Specifically developed for SAFsolution 5, IdentiPHI SAFauthenticator SDK significantly expands supported programming languages including C++, .NET and Java.  The SDK exposes several new API methods such as biometric enrollment and the ability to capture, store and submit users’ application secrets.  The result is that developers may implement SAFsolution’s biometric enrollment process directly from applications and can utilize the ability to securely store application credentials or secrets to roam with users across the network.
